A furious McGregor slapped the phone out of the owner’s hand and began to stomp on it when it was on the ground. He then walked off with the phone and was later arrested at his home as opposed to the scene of the crime.

And in the footage doing the rounds, McGregor can be seen stomping on the phone with his designers but the thunderous thud of him stepping on it can also be heard very, very loudly.

Ahmed Abdirzak, the alleged victim, can be heard shouting, “Let me get my phone, man!” in the video..

The former dual weight UFC champion was eventually released from Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on $12,500 bail, escorted to a black SUV before being driven back to his Miami Beach Mansion.

McGregor’s first post in Instagram since the incident was typical of him. Accompanied by a picture of him leaving jail and wearing some very dodgy sandals, jogging bottoms and a t-shirt with a message that reads, ”When I say something is going to happen it’s going to happen McGregor is back,” he thanked his fans for their support.

McGregor’s attorney called the incident as a “minor altercation”, though this is certainly not an isolated incident for him.

Incensed by the way his teammate Artem Lobov was approached by Khabib Nurmagomedov ahead of UFC 223, McGregor and his entourage flew from Ireland to Brooklyn and set about getting revenge.
